Kottayam: Girl verbally confronts Police during boyfriend’s arrest on multiple charges. Thrikodithanam SHO, G Anoop and CPO Selvaraj had to face violence and verbal altercations from a girl for arresting her boyfriend.
The incident took place near Kailathupady in Thrikodithanam at 4 p.m. on saturday. Goshalaparampil Vishnu (19) was caught by the police. Vishnu Faces Charges, Including bar brawl, says police. Vishnu was presented in court and remanded.
The girl created violence by demanding that they get Vishnu out of the jeep, said SHO. Locals arrived at the scene upon hearing about the incident. When Selvaraj, who had come from the station, was standing on one side of the jeep, the girl closed the jeep door. Selvaraj sustained an injury to his palm as it got caught between the doors. He was quickly taken to the hospital and provided first aid.
Thrikodithanam police arrived at the scene after receiving information about a minor girl being seen in a suspicious situation at the young man’s residence. Upon investigation, it was confirmed to be true.
S.H.O. Anoop and the driver arrived for the inquiry. The police questioned Vishnu and subsequently arrested him. Meanwhile, the underage girl who was with Vishnu turned against the police.
