KOLLAM: Kollam has been chosen as the esteemed host for the upcoming 62nd State School Youth Festival (Kalolsavam), scheduled to take place in the month of January. This vibrant festival serves as a platform for the artistic talents of young students to shine.
In addition to the main event in Kollam, several other venues have been designated for various related events. The sporting events will unfold in Kunnamkulam during October, fostering healthy competition and athleticism among students. Moving forward, Ernakulam will take the stage in November to host a special school fest, emphasizing inclusivity and diversity in the cultural celebrations.
Furthermore, the Department of Public Education is geared up to organize a captivating science fair in Thiruvananthapuram this December, stimulating curiosity and innovation in the realm of science education.
In 2009, Kollam State School had hosted the Kalolsavam. Last year, Kozhikode had the honor of hosting the 61st School Kalolsavam.
