Thodupuzha: A Congress local leader, Salim, threatened to kill the mother and and children of a BJP activist, Arun Mohan, at Thodupuzha in Idukki district. He threatened Arun Mohan through mobile phone and also insulted Lord Ganapathy during the phone call.
On Independence Day, the labour union of the Congress party, INTUC, had degraded the National Flag, by raising it on the flag post of the union. Arun Mohan had objected to this act of insult to the National Flag and submitted a complaint to the authorities.
This angered the Congress leader, Salim, who threatened to kill the BJP worker and his family members.
