Mananthavady: A jeep fell into a deep gorge at Kannothmala in Manathavady in Wayanad district resulting in the tragic death of nine people. Four persons are said to be severely injured. The accident occurred when the jeep, carrying plantation workers, fell into the gorge at a hairpin. The vehicle had lost control after hitting a culvert said a report.
The report said that the injured are being treated at Wayanad Government Medical College hospital. Forest Minister, K Saseedharan, is expected to visit the spot, said that report.
