THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Yuva Morcha National Secretary P Shyamraj has exposed the dual stance of Kerala State Education Minister V Sivankutty. He questions the minister’s position, as he reacts to the Uttar Pradesh school student issue but remains silent on a similar issue that occurred in his own state. Shyamraj criticized Sivankutty by pointing out the issue of discrimination against a student who could not pay his fees in a school in Thiruvananthapuram.
Shyamraj criticized the Minister through his social media post, where he stated that the minister eagerly scrutinizes any mistakes made by states governed by BJP governments.
Police have registered a complaint regarding the incident that occurred in Uttar Pradesh, and the National Human Rights Commission has also filed a case on the UP incident.
However, Shyamraj raised a pertinent question about the actions taken by the Kerala State Child Rights Commission in Kerala. He added that the Communist Party seems to prioritize religion in its approach. Shyamraj also asked why the diligence shown in addressing issues in other states is not replicated when it comes to problems in Kerala.
The state government has failed to take any meaningful steps to support hundreds of Dalit-Vanavasi students who had to halt their studies in Kerala. Shyamraj criticizes the fact that the Communist Party’s foundation appears to be rooted not in humanity but in religious bias. There seems to be a consistent bias favoring certain religions within the CPI(M) government.
