Aluva: A report said that the accused in the kidnapping and rape of eight-year-old daughter of migrant workers has been arrested by the police. The accused was nabbed from a liquor bar and has been identified as Chirstil of Chenkal in Thiruvananthapuram.
Christil has been leading a vagabond life and had been involved in many thefts. Now reports are coming out that he is an accused in a rape case also. There is a case registered against him for sexual assault two years back at the Parassala Police Station. His parents said that he had left home one-and-a-half years ago and added that he is addicted to intoxicants.
The victim was abducted from Chathanpuram in Aluva while she was sleeping with her parents and was raped, according to the police. The incident took place today at 2 am. The girl was saved by residents in the area and is now being treated at the Kalamassery Medical College.
