THIRUVANATHAPURAM: Under the leadership of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), thorough searches are ongoing in Thrissur and Palakkad. The investigation is based on suspicions that individuals involved in an IS-related case have concealed explosives at various locations in Kerala.
Evidence is being gathered with the cooperation of Nabeel. Based on the information provided by the accused, searches have also been conducted at a center in Thrissur, where a conspiracy for a terrorist attack was planned during a secret meeting.
The suspect has been brought to the center where plans for potential terrorist attacks were said to have been formulated.
NIA’s investigation has revealed that the arrested individual, Nabeel, assumed the role of Kerala Ameer within the Islamic State module, succeeding Abdul Rashid Abdullah, who was killed in an airstrike by the American military.
