The practice of ministers serving for two and a half years each, is deceitful: V Muraleedharan

Thrissur: Union Minister V Muraleedharan asserted that the Karuvannur bank fraud was a heist carried out with the awareness of the CPI(M) state leadership. He alleged that, in an attempt to shield former minister AC Moideen and former MP PK Biju of the involvement in the scam, they are trying to portray it as a scam by some individuals. He urged the CPI(M) to cease misleading the public and instead collaborate with the Enforcement Directorate’s investigation. He criticized the party for displaying a lack of sympathy towards the victims of the scam and emphasized the need for intervention to recover the funds for the investors.

Muraleedharan said that Pinarayi Vijayan’s preparations for a cabinet reshuffle seem aimed at showcasing their efficiency. He suggested that if this is the case, the Chief Minister should set the example by stepping aside first. He criticized the practice of ministers serving for two and a half years each, describing it as deceitful. According to him, this approach resembles a scenario where one individual depletes the treasury, only to pass the responsibility to the next. V. Muraleedharan also added that changing ministers who primarily serve as a signing authority but work in the party’s interest will likely yield no substantial change.

Minister Muraleedharan was reacting to the LDF decision to reshuffle its cabinet ministers in Kerala which is scheduled to happen in November this year.
