Kottayam: Infightings and squabbles inside Congress party in Kerala is a norm. Leaders are seen arguing for recognition, positions, authority etc. Sometimes these quarrels come out in the public eye for all to see the petty irritations and bickering of these leaders.

Now, the talk of the town is the childlike behavior of Congress Opposition Leader, VD Satheesan and KPCC President, K Sudhakaran, over who will begin a press conference and their tug-of-war over microphones.

Before the press conference began, VD Satheesan sat in front of a bunch of microphones placed there by various media houses. He was all set for delivering a great presentation for the media.

However, the arrival of KPCC President, K Sudhakaran, upended everything for Satheesan. KPCC President is seen asking Satheesan to move to the adjacent seat so that he can sit in front of the microphones and speak to the media first.

Satheesan foreseeing such a scenario gets up and sits on the adjacent seat but not before sneakily nudging the microphones towards his side of the table.

Sudhakaran tells Satheesan that he will begin the press conference. But an irritated Satheesan can be seen saying that he will begin it. Sudhakaran known for his lifelong fight against communists in Kannur, did not back down and repeated that he will begin the press conference as he is the KPCC President.

The squabble continues for a few moments and in the end a visibly angry Satheesan pushes the microphones towards Sudhakaran’s side. When a Congress worker approaches Satheesan to welcome him with a shawl, he refuses it.

Satheesan is also seen irritatingly speaking about the matter to a Congress leader sitting beside him. Then suddenly he turns around and tells another Congress leader that he will not be speaking in the press meet.

During the press conference a journalist asks KPCC President Sudhakaran a question in English. When Sudhakaran turns to Satheesan and asks for a translation, the Opposition Leader did not respond and sat there ignoring the party president’s request with a blank stare.

Satheesan also made it clear that questions must be asked to the party president. Following this, Satheesan kept mum throughout the press conference and his anger and irritation was visible throughout the meeting.

Anyway the quarrel between the two Congress leaders has gone viral on social media and netizens are having a hay day celebrating their hilarious interaction.
