Thiruvananthapuram: LDF convener EP Jayarajan is being mocked when he said that Kerala will borrow and develop and then will settle the liabilities through that development. He said the government in Kerala today is keeping up with the interest of its people. He said the present government is treating Kerala like gold. EP Jayarajan said that the government is taking a self-sacrificing stance by not informing the people of any problems Kerala is facing.
He said this while addressing a gathering at the launch of a protest by the Left Front in front of the Raj Bhavan. He said that Kerala is an economically challenged state and the UDF is standing against the development of Kerala along with the BJP. He expressed his concerns about the central government’s disregard for Kerala’s issues.
Jayarajan said that, over the past seven and a half years, the UDF has not actively supported any developmental initiatives in the state. The central government is imposing economic restrictions to hinder Kerala’s progress. The Attorney General (AG) is being accused of engaging in political maneuvers by advocating for the non-collection of tax arrears in Kerala. He asks what right does AG who has to submit the report have, to hold a press conference.
