New Delhi: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman, S Somanath, said that Bharat’s victory to step on the Moon has encouraged the ISRO to embark on a landing mission on Mars.

S Somanath spoke about the future missions of ISRO during a presentation at Indian National Science         Academy in Delhi..

While speaking about the Mars mission, the ISRO Chairman said that it was at the conceptual stage. But in the future the project will be designed in detail. He added that the space organization has many missions in the conceptual phase.

According to a report, S Somanath, also revealed that the ISRO wants to do a mission to Venus and that the mission is already configured and the payloads are already developed.
