Cobra inside the helmet of a parked bike; owner survived by luck

Thrissur: A cobra was found inside the helmet of a parked scooter in Thrissur. The scooter’s owner, Ponthekal Sojan from Puthur, had narrowly escaped from the snake bite. He said that he had been fortunate not to have been bitten by the venomous snake.

The scooter was parked at Sojan’s workplace. At four o’clock in the evening, when he came to pick his bike, he saw that something had entered the helmet. He quickly contacted the forest department officers after realising it was a snake.

The snake catcher named Lijo came and caught the snake. A two-month-old baby cobra was found inside the helmet.
