Wayanad: Speaking on the situation in Kambamala, CPI (M) MLA OR Kelu emphasised the government’s reluctance to engage in a direct confrontation with the communist terrorists. The MLA said that the government does not want a direct encounter with communist terrorists in Kambamala. Instead, the government will try to seek a peaceful resolution with these terrorists. However, the continuous presence of armed communist terrorists in the paddies has raised concerns among the plantation workers in Kambamala.

Over the last month, since the 28th, the daily occurrence of violence and threats perpetrated by the communist terrorists in Kambamala and its neighbouring areas has been a growing concern. The terrorists have made four incursions into Kambamala, despite police claims of providing robust security.

At the same time, Wayanad District Collector Renu Raj announced an assertive effort to promptly address the dire situation in Kambamala’s paddies. Renu Raj disclosed that a high-level meeting has taken place to address the paddy issue in Kambamala, with an immediate solution being the goal.
