MALAPPURAM: In Areekode town of Malapuram district, 12 people were bitten by a stray dog, and they are currently under treatment at Manjeri Medical College Hospital. The dog is suspected to have rabies.
Local residents have voiced concerns, as stray dogs have become a common sight in the region.
They alleged that the inaction of the health department in the district as well as improper garbage disposal and waste management practices by hotels, are contributing to the growing stray dog population.
