THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 14th JC Daniel Foundation Film Awards have been announced. Actor Kunchacko Boban and Manju Warrier have been selected for the Best Actor Award category.
Kunchacko Boban has been chosen for his outstanding performance in the movie “Nna Thaan Case Kodu,” while Manju Warrier’s remarkable work in “Vellari Pattanam” has earned her the Best Actress award.
Director Mahesh Narayanan’s exceptional movie “Ariyippu” has been recognized as the Best Film, and “Uttavar,” directed by Anil Dev, has secured the second spot in this category.
Shahi Kabir, the director of “Ela Veezha Poonchira,” has been named the Best Debut Film Director.
Since 1992, the JC Daniel Foundation Film Awards, instituted by the Kerala government, have been celebrating the legacy of JC Daniel, often regarded as the father of Malayalam cinema.
The esteemed jury, led by Director R Sarath, played a pivotal role in selecting the deserving winners.
