THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A KSRTC bus caught fire in front of University College, Thiruvananthapuram. No casualties were reported.
It has been reported that the KSRTC bus, originating from Thiruvananthapuram Vikas Bhavan KSRTC depot, caught fire while operating on the route from East Fort bus stand to Potthencode, Thiruvananthapuram. This incident occurred right in front of University College, Thiruvananthapuram.
A huge accident was prevented by the timely intervention of the bus driver and conductor, who had become suspicious of a burning smell. The driver expressed concerns that the fire might have been caused by a short circuit.
At the time of the incident, approximately 25 passengers were on board the bus. All passengers were promptly transferred to another bus.
