THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Congress-led UDF staged a protest today at the state Secretariat in protest against the corruption charges and administrative mismanagement by the ruling Left in Kerala.

The Secretariat protest by UDF workers, which began at 6 am, caused a lot of trouble for the public, including those in Thiruvananthapuram for medical emergencies, students, and other government employees. Several ambulances with severely ill patients were also affected by the opposition party’s blockade.

The Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other ministers entered the Secretariat under heavy police security, but only a few Secretariat employees were able to enter after receiving police protection.

Despite a large police force being deployed and barricades in place, transportation was severely affected by the UDF’s blockade protest today over the corruption charges against the CPI(M) ruling Kerala government. Patients, doctors, students, government employees, and other private employees were greatly disrupted.

In addition to concerns about corruption and mismanagement, the protest also addresses the increase in electricity rates and the prices of daily essentials, as mentioned by a UDF worker.
