Thiruvananthapuram: Former Minister and CPI(M) leader, KK Shailaja, said that she stands by her earlier criticism of Hamas terrorists, who killed 1400 Israeli civilians in a terror attack. She said that harming women and children when they got an opportunity is not acceptable.
However, she said that her support is with Palestine on the lines of her party’s stance.
Earlier, KK Shailaja, in a Facebook post, had referred to Hamas as terrorists, which led to a big backlash from communist and jihadi quarters. CPI(M) leaders like KT Jaleel snubbed her and said that Israel is a bigger terrorist.
CPI(M) State Committee Member, M Swaraj, went to the extent of saying that whatever Palestinians do, they are still innocent.
The forensic team in Israel has revealed gruesome and horrific details of the manner in which innocent civilians were killed by Hamas terrorists on October 7. Many babies, women and men were beheaded. Some were tied up and burned and bodies of women wore the signs of brutal rape and torture.
