THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The second crane from the first ship that arrived at Vizhinjam International Port in Thiruvananthapuram will be brought ashore today.
The first crane was disembarked yesterday by three Chinese crew members of the Zhen Hua 15 ship and experts from Mumbai. The process of unloading the crane started after the Central government granted permission for the Chinese crew members to land at Vizhinjam port.
Even after several days since the first ship arrived, the cranes could not be disembarked from the ship. The Chinese crew members were awaiting immigration clearance from the central government.
The first crane was brought down to the shore yesterday after the central government granted permission to three of the 12 crew members from China. Additionally, the disembarkation was supported by 60 experts from the Shanghai Prime Machinery Co. Ltd. (PMC) center in Mumbai.
