Traffic restrictions to be followed in Thiruvananthapuram city in view of ‘Keraleeyam Mahotsavam’…

Thiruvananthapuram: As part of the ‘Keraleeyam Mahotsavam’, which kicked off today, traffic control and tight security will be in place for a week in Thiruvananthapuram city. Public transport will be banned from 6 pm to 10 pm in the red zone from Kowdiar to East Fort. Security arrangements have been made in the area comprising 40 venues divided into 4 zones, 12 divisions and 70 sectors.

The restrictions are being imposed in the capital as part of the ‘ Keraleeyam Mahotsavam 2023’ celebrations, which will be held from today to the 7th. Security has also been increased along with massive traffic arrangements. Public transport will be banned from 6 pm to 10 pm in the red zone from Kowdiar to East Fort. Vehicular traffic will be restricted from 6 pm to 10 pm from Vellayambalam to GPO.

In the red zone from the festival area Kowdiar to East Fort, only electric buses of KSRTC will be allowed to ply. Only electric swift buses, special pass vehicles, ambulances and other emergency services will be allowed in this zone.

KSRTC has arranged a round trip fare of Rs.10 to these places. 20 places have been arranged for parking vehicles.
