Ernakulam: In the ongoing investigation of the Kalamassery bomb blast case, the police are delving into the foreign connections of the accused, Martin. Martin, who has resided in Dubai for the past 15 years, is now under scrutiny to determine if he has travelled to other countries or engaged in any suspicious financial transactions. In addition, police have disclosed their intention to subject the accused to an identification parade.

Furthermore, all of Martin’s social media accounts are being meticulously examined for any potential leads or information. Currently, the forensic team is analysing the accused’s mobile phone for any pertinent evidence. In a recent court hearing, the police officially declared Martin the mastermind behind the attack, asserting that he acted alone in constructing the bomb. Subsequently, the court has granted permission for Martin’s identification parade.

The Kalamassery bomb blast, which occurred during a gathering of Jehovah Witnesses at the Zamra International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Kerala, claimed the lives of three individuals: Libina (12) from Malayattur, Layona Paulose (60) from Ernakulam, and Kumari (53) from Thodupuzha. Additionally, approximately 25 injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment.
