Thiruvananthapuram: Postgraduate (PG) doctors in Kerala will be going on a strike today, with the boycotting of all departments, including the casualty department. The strike is primarily focused on demanding an increase in stipend.
The Kerala Government Medical College Teachers Association (KGMCTA), which represents medical college doctors, has also voiced its support for the PG doctors’ strike. The strike aims to protest against the longstanding lack of stipend increases and the failure to take necessary actions to prevent exorbitant fee hikes. The KGMCTA stated that it supports the strike because the demands made by the PG doctors are considered reasonable.
