Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert today for 8 districts in Kerala. The districts under the yellow alert include Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad.
While there is a chance of rain in other districts as well, no specific alerts have been issued. According to the Meteorological Department, isolated places in districts like Idukki, Ernakulam, Pathanamthitta, and Thrissur are expected to experience heavy rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds of up to 40 kmph.
