Kochi: Conflict unfolded between students associated with the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and Kerala Students’ Union (KSU) organizations at Cochin University. The dispute arose in the aftermath of the college union elections, escalating into a series of violent incidents within the boys’ hostel.
Last night, around 1 o’clock, students from both the SFI and KSU organisations engaged in a heated clash within the college hostel. The footage of the incident has since surfaced on various social media platforms. Law enforcement responded by registering a case against 14 SFI activists involved in the conflict.
Meanwhile, a verbal dispute unfolded between KSU and Muslim Students Federation (MSF) student organisations in CUSAT. MSF accused KSU activists of dishonest practices, leading to a controversy over allegations that KSU did not cast votes for MSF activists who were running in the union panel. As a result, MSF announced its decision to sever all ties with KSU in the district.
