Guruvayur: Suresh Gopi challenged the Guruvayur MLA at ‘Coffee Time with SG’ held in Guruvayur. He questioned whether the MLA would be willing to state in the assembly that the Guruvayur flyover does not need funding from the Centre. Suresh Gopi also said during the program that only the comrades of the MLA’s party could truly appreciate the lie that the cost of the flyover is being borne by the state government. This reaction of Suresh Gopi was during the program ‘Coffee Time with SG’ held in Guruvayur.

Suresh Gopi accused, “You can tell lies in the presence of your party members during street meetings, only they will believe it.” However, Suresh Gopi’s challenge revolved around whether the Guruvayur MLA had the bravery to declare in the Assembly records that the Railways is not funding the flyover. If that declaration proved unfeasible, Suresh Gopi urged the Chief Minister, who is the leader of the MLA, to convey to the central government that they do not require Railway funds for the construction of the flyover.

At the same time, during the program, the representatives said that the main issue in the Kadappuram Grama Panchayat is a shortage of drinking water.  Following this, actor Suresh Gopi promised two lakh rupees for the repair of the broken pipe. Suresh Gopi made this commitment following numerous complaints from representatives that they have not been getting drinking water for five days and the authorities are not taking any action in the matter.

Eminent personalities from various sectors of the society interacted with Suresh Gopi in the discussion held at Guruvayur Tourism Facilitation Center hall. BJP District President Adv. KK Anish Kumar, Constituency President Anil Mancharambath, Justin Jacob, KR Anish, Vasudevan T.V., Subhash Mannarath, Prabish Thiruvenkidam, Mohanan Eechithara, Shobha Hari Narayanan, Jyoti Ravindranath, K. C. Raju, Shaji Thrippat and KR Chandran participated in the event.
