Thiruvananthapuram: The Yuva Morcha staged a protest demanding the immediate arrest of Youth Congress leaders accused of making fake voter’s ID cards for the organizational election process. The demonstration, which marched towards the secretariat, faced water cannon retaliation from the police.
During the protest’s inauguration, Yuva Morcha State President Praful Krishnan declared the Youth Congress a disgrace to youth organizations. Praful Krishnan asserted that Yuva Morcha possessed accurate information about the fraudulent activities and questioned the authorities’ ability to apprehend the culprits and take appropriate action.
Expressing dissatisfaction, Krishnan highlighted that even the court had scolded the Kerala police for their handling of the situation. He claimed that the Youth Congress currently operated under a fake president. Krishnan emphasized that the march to the secretariat served as a warning, and if police failed to intensify their actions, the protests would escalate further.
