KOLLAM: Following that incident, a 6-year-old girl named Abigel Sara Reji was kidnapped yesterday evening around 4:30 pm from Oyoor in Kollam district. Her grandmother revealed that the children had noticed a white colour car following them.
Speaking to the media, Abigel’s grandmother mentioned that Abigel and her brother Jonathan had previously informed them about a white car following them on their way to tuition. However, they hadn’t taken it seriously, assuming it might have been one of many white cars in the neighborhood.
The incident occurred while Abigel (6) and her elder brother Jonathan (8) were on their way to tuition center.
Jonathan recounted that a woman dressed in pardah come out from the white car and handed him a white paper to give to their mother. Meanwhile, Abigel was forcibly taken into the car by others, and swiftly, the woman in purdah also entered the car and drove away rapidly.
Jonathan attempted to rescue his sister but was pushed out of the car onto the road.
Later, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh. The police have intensified the search and released a sketch of a suspected kidnapper.
