Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has forwarded seven bills, approved by the state assembly, to the President for scrutiny. The state government took legal action against the Governor in the Supreme Court, citing delays in decision-making regarding the assembly-passed bills. Concurrently, the Supreme Court is set to examine the case tomorrow.
The bills submitted to the President encompass the Lokayukta Bill, Universities Act Amendment Bill, the Chancellor’s Bill, the Cooperative Act Amendment Bill, the Search Committee Expansion Bill, and the Cooperative Bill (Milma). Simultaneously, Governor Khan has officially signed the Public Health Bill into law amid these developments.
