Ernakulam: The High Court has ruled against permitting the use of the zoological park for the Nava Kerala Sadas event. Emphasizing that the entire zoological park area is designated solely for zoo purposes, the court inquired about the use of microphones during the program. The Park director, Keerthy IFS, assured the court that noise control measures and guidelines, including microphone usage, have been implemented.
After reviewing all relevant documents related to the zoological park, the High Court verbally conveyed its decision, stating that hosting Nava Kerala Sadas in the zoological park is not feasible. In response, the government informed the court that an alternative venue would be arranged if the zoological park is not approved.
The Puthur Zoological Park is currently housing 24 birds and 2 tigers in a protected area. The park director earlier clarified in court that the event is scheduled to take place in the parking area.
