Kollam: In the recent child kidnapping case in Oyoor, Kollam, the police have officially recorded the arrest of three individuals involved in the crime. Padmakumar, along with his wife Anitha and daughter Anupama, were apprehended in Tenkasi yesterday.

Padmakumar and his family’s financial crisis has come to light, revealing their reliance on borrowed funds from online loan apps. The motive behind the child’s abduction appears to be an attempt to secure money for settling mounting debts. The accused trio is scheduled to be shifted from the AR camp to the Pooyappally station.

During the kidnapping, Padmakumar carried a note indicating that the child would be released upon payment. However, his plan faced a setback when he tried to hand the letter to the child’s brother but inadvertently dropped it inside the car. Upon reaching the location where the child was relocated, the accused realized that the incident had garnered widespread attention through media coverage. Faced with the growing public attention, they decided to abandon the child, marking a significant turn in the unfolding events.
