Child kidnap in Kollam: All 3 accused remanded in custody; mother and daughter to be shifted to Attakulangara women’s jail, father to Kottarakkara subjail

Kollam: All three accused in the child kidnapping case have been remanded in custody. The accused have been remanded for 14 days. The order is of Kottarakkara Judicial First Class Magistrate Court II. The accused in the case are Chathannoor native Padmakumar, his wife Anithakumari and daughter Anupama.

The prosecution will file an application for custody in the case on Monday. After submitting the custody application, the police will take them for evidence. Anitakumari and her daughter Anupama will be shifted to Attakulangara Women’s Jail in Thiruvananthapuram and Padmakumar will be shifted to Kottarakkara Sub Jail.

Once the accused are taken into custody, the collection of evidence will be completed. After this, the police will move onto further questioning.
