Youth Congress leader arrested for extorting money guising himself as Section Officer

Kottayam: Aravind Vettikkal, a Youth Congress leader from Pathanamthitta has been arrested for a scam involving hospital recruitment. He promised a job as a receptionist at the Kottayam district hospital guising himself as Section Officer. The police took him into custody

Aravind took Rs 50,000 from a Chingoli native, Alappuzha, promising her a job. After getting the money, he created a fake seal and letterhead from the health department. He then handed over a fake appointment order, signed by himself, pretending to be a session officer, to the person from Chingoli.
However, when she found it was a scam, she reported it to the police. Following the Chingoli native’s complaint, the Youth Congress leader was arrested and taken into police custody.
