Kollam: Three individuals have been apprehended in connection with the theft of aluminium wires belonging to the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) in Karunagappally. The accused, identified as Padmakumar and Saleem, residents of Mynagappally, and Muhamad Shafi, a native of Sasthamkotta, were arrested following an investigation into the incident.

The theft, which occurred last Monday, involved the pilfering of two rolls of wires with a total value of Rs 15,000. The stolen wires were originally intended for the maintenance of electric lines in the region. Padmakumar and Saleem executed the theft by taking advantage of a moment when the wires were temporarily stored. Subsequently, the stolen wires were sold to Muhamad Shafi. The arrest of the trio followed a police investigation initiated after a complaint by KSEB officials. The police confirmed the apprehension of the three accused.
