Kollam: The investigation team has uncovered crucial evidence in the case of a six-year-old girl’s abduction from Oyoor, Kollam. Portions of the child’s burnt school bag and a pencil box were recovered, believed to have been destroyed by the main suspect, Padmakumar, at his farm in Polachira.
The accused confessed to burning the child’s bag and discarding a fake number plate in a river. Investigators plan to locate the discarded number plate. Additionally, evidence was gathered from the hotel where the accused purchased food on the day of the abduction. The next step involves taking the child to Puliyara in Tamil Nadu and the Ashram grounds where she was abandoned.
The investigation team has determined that only Padmakumar and his family were involved in the abduction. An employee’s statement suggests that the three accused arrived at the farm after the kidnapping. The team is diligently collecting further evidence to present a comprehensive report to the court before the end of the custodial period.
