Pathanamthitta: A team led by BJP National Executive Committee member and former Governor, Kummanam Rajesekharan, will visit Sabarimala to better understand the distress faced by Ayyappa devotees. BJP State President K. Surendran announced that a special team will undertake this visit on the 14th of December.

The team will include former Devaswom Board President G. Raman Nair, Pathanamthitta District President VA Sooraj, and Kottayam District President Lijin Lal.

Pilgrims endure lengthy waits without access to food or water. Devotees spend hours waiting at checkpoints and on roads before reaching the Nilakkal base camp. Instances of devotees collapsing due to physical ailments have become a common occurrence during the Mandalam period.
