Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning in anticipation of heavy rain from December 15 to 17. The forecast includes the likelihood of thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places during this period. A yellow alert has been declared in Ernakulam district on the 17th, with heavy rain predicted at isolated locations within the district.
The IMD has also assured that there is no disruption to fishing activities along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts. Additionally, gusty winds reaching up to 40–45 kmph and, under certain conditions, up to 55 kmph along the Kanyakumari coast are anticipated.
