Kozhikode: Nabisa, the mother-in-law of Shabna, who died by suicide due to domestic violence in Orkkatteri, Kozhikode, has been arrested by the police. Nabisa was found and arrested from a lodge in Kozhikode. She had been hiding since Shabna’s death. Nabisa has been presented at the Vadakara court.

The others involved in Shabna’s death, including her husband Habib, sister-in-law, and father-in-law, are still missing. The police are investigating and said that they will be apprehended soon. They are facing charges related to abetment to suicide and domestic violence.

Haneefa, the uncle of Shabna’s husband, is presently in custody for his involvement in the case. He was arrested under laws against dowry, harassment and abetting suicide. The court will consider Haneefa’s request for bail and the absconders’ plea for anticipatory bail on Thursday.
