Chennai: Chennai witnessed the departure of a specially allocated Vande Bharat train to cater Sabarimala pilgrims, embarking on its journey to Kottayam. The train departed from Chennai at 4:30 am and will reach Kottayam by 4:15 pm on the same day.
In the initial phase, the Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to operate until the 25th. The train will conduct its service on the 15th, 17th, 22nd, and 24th of the month.
On Fridays and Sundays, the train commences its journey from Chennai at 4:30 am, reaching Kottayam at 4:15 pm. For the return journey, on Saturdays and Mondays, the departure from Kottayam is at 4:40 am, with an anticipated arrival in Chennai at 5:15 pm.
