Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman encourages youth to propel Bharat’s development

Kollam: In an address at Fatima Mata National College in Kollam, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized the pivotal role of the young generation in advancing the nation. Sitharaman highlighted the ongoing development journey of Bharat, underscoring the crucial contribution of youth in realizing the vision of a developed country.

Addressing students, the minister urged the youth to spearhead the country’s transition towards development. She expressed pride in Bharat’s current status as a developed nation, attributing this achievement to the commendable skills and efforts of the scientific community and educators. Sitharaman stressed the significance of education in the overall progress of a country.

Acknowledging the relentless efforts of the medical sector, Sitharaman commended their role in development of the nation. Reflecting on the successful conclusion of the G20 summit, she noted that Bharat garnered global praise for its effective presidency. She attributed this success to cooperative efforts that demonstrated the country’s capability on the international stage.

Encouraging young individuals to explore opportunities within the country, Sitharaman emphasized that Kerala, is a key knowledge hub with a thriving startup ecosystem. She discouraged the inclination to seek opportunities abroad, urging the youth to recognize and leverage the numerous prospects available domestically. Concluding her address, Sitharaman urged every youth to cultivate the mindset of contributing to Bharat’s development, fostering a collective commitment to a prosperous future.
