Pathanamthitta: A baby elephant discovered abandoned in Kurumbanmoozhi, Ranni, has sadly passed away. The 18-day-old calf died while being transported to the Kottur elephant care center in Thiruvananthapuram.
The calf, separated from its mother shortly after birth, was found in a comatose state. Beat Officer Nitin and Watcher Joseph were caring for the elephant, which passed away despite being in apparent good health.
