Thiruvananthapuram: The student organization ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) responded in kind to SFI for putting up banners. The response banners by the ABVP were raised in the Thiruvananthapuram campus of Sanskrit University, Sree Vivekananda College and Pandalam NSS College. Along with saluting the Governor, the slogans on the banner also criticized the SFI.

‘Unnal Mudiyave Mudiyath Thambi’ (it is never going to be possible by you, brother) were the words in the banner put up by the ABVP at the Thiruvananthapuram campus of the Sanskrit University. At Vivekananda College ABVP put up banner saying ‘Kerala campuses are not family property of SFI’ and at Pandalam campus the banner read ‘Governor is Chancellor, not Comrade’. Apart from these, ABVP banners were put up in several campuses across Kerala in support of the Governor.

The Governor gave a distinct reply to the SFI’s aggression today. After informing the state police chief that he did not need police security, he reached Mittai Theruvu in Kozhikode and interacted with people there. He took selfies with the children, visited the business establishments and talked to the traders. After spending about an hour in public, the Governor returned from Mittai Street.
