Thiruvananthapuram: Transport Minister, Antony Raju, and Minister of Ports, Ahammad Devarkovil, have resigned from the government. The decision comes as part of the reshuffling of the Cabinet. They will be replaced by Kadannapally Ramachandran and KB Ganesh Kumar. The new Ministers will be inducted into the Cabinet of 29th of this month.
Antony Raju, who headed the Transport Ministry, said that he is satisfied as he was able to pay the salaries of the KSRTC employees before stepping down as Minister. He added that he would be working actively in his constituency.
After putting in his papers, former Minister of Ports, Ahammad Devarkovil, said that let the people evaluate his performance as a Minister.
The new entrants to the Cabinet are Kadannappalli Ramachandran and KB Ganesh Kumar. Kadannappalli is the leader of Congress (Secular) and MLA of Edakkad. KB Ganesh Kumar is the leader of Kerala Congress (B) and represents the Pathnapuram constituency.
