Thiruvananthapuram: A leopard was spotted in Ponmudi Hills. It was seen in front of the Ponmudi Police Station around 8:30 am today. It was first reported by police officers as the leopard was observed entering the forest from the roadside.
Following this, local police promptly informed officials from the Forest Department. Inspections were conducted by Forest Department officials at the location, but they could not find the leopard. A warning has been issued in the surrounding area to alert residents and visitors about the presence of the leopard.
Ponmudi is one of the most crowded tourist places in Thiruvananthapuram. It is currently experiencing an influx of tourists due to the ongoing Christmas and New Year holidays. The Forest Department has launched a thorough search operation in the vicinity where the leopard was spotted.
