Kannur: A poster by communist terrorists stated that one person belonging to their group was killed in an encounter between the Thunderbolt and the communist terrorists in Ayyankunnu. This is stated in a poster put up in Tirunelli in the name of the Western Ghat Special Zonal Committee (WGSZC).

It was reported that the death occurred in an encounter that took place on November 13 at 9:50 am in the Uruppumkutty Forest of Ayyankunnu Panchayat. The terrorists claimed that a comrade named Kavitha (Lakshmi) was killed.

The police have not yet officially confirmed the death. Investigations are ongoing, and details surrounding the circumstances of the encounter and the claimed casualty are yet to be disclosed.

This incident follows a recent attack by communist terrorists in the Western Ghats region. The violence began after the destruction of the Kerala Forest Development Corporation (KFDC) office in Thalappuzha on September 24.

On November 7, violence erupted in the Chapparam colony, leading to the arrest of two individuals associated with the communist terrorist group. After this, an encounter occurred on November 13 in the forest area of Ayyankunnu Panchayat.

The day after the encounter, the police seized a gun from the forest area, and it was disclosed that some individuals had sustained injuries. Preliminary assessments indicate that the communist terrorist, who was injured during this encounter, might be the dead one.
