THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In wake of PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Thrissur on January 3, several leaders have joined the BJP. Notably, Thrissur District Secretary Manish Kumar from the Kerala Congress Jacob group joined the BJP during a function held in Thrissur. He received membership from the Kerala state BJP President, K Surendran.
KK Anish Kumar, BJP’s Thrissur district President highlighted that, over the past month, leaders from various political parties have joined the BJP. This surge in senior leaders joining the BJP signifies an emerging favorable situation for BJP in Kerala.
Surendran further informed that more than hundred Christian families will join the BJP at a gathering in Pathanamthitta today evening, which will be presided over by Union Minister V Muraleedharan.
He also emphasized that PM Modi’s visit to Thrissur will be marked as a historic event in Kerala politics.
Surendran announced that PM Narendra Modi will address a mass gathering of women at Thekkinkadu Maidanam in Thrissur on January 3. Nearly two lakh women from various sections are expected to participate in the event titled ‘Sthree Shakti Modikkoppam’ (Women Power with Modi) at 3 p.m. The BJP Kerala unit plans to honor the Prime Minister in recognition of the passing of the women’s reservation Bill.
The conference in Thrissur aims to showcase prominent women from fields like arts, sports, and culture, representing the women’s community in Kerala. Indian women cricketer Minnu Mani will also participate in the event.
Surendran shared that South Indian film actress Shobhana and women entrepreneur Beena Kannan will join the Prime Minister on stage during the function.
