Thrissur: BJP state president K Surendran said that CPI(M) and Congress are acting with intolerance towards religious minorities joining the BJP. He alleged that members of the Christian community who recently joined the party in Kerala are being threatened. They are facing cyber attacks from supporters of the Congress and the CPI(M). Surendran said that individuals attempting to humiliate and attack them personally, through various means, will face severe consequences.
Inspite of all this, the minorities are coming closer to the BJP, said the BJP state president while talking to mediapersons in Thrissur on Sunday.
He said that Sneha Yatra, an outreach programme of the BJP aimed at connecting with the Christian community in the state suggested by the Prime Minister himself, is progressing well. On December 30, Saturday, Fr Shaiju Kurien, Secretary of the Orthodox Church Nilackal Diocese in Pathanamthitta district and 47 Christian families joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister V Muraleedharan. Surendran said that the Congress and CPI(M) are insulting the priest who joined the BJP and the priest who participated and spoke during the event.
Modi’s visit to Thrissur will create history. Congress and CPI(M) are using Ram temple in Ayodhya for religious polarization. But they must realize that vote bank politics will not last long. BJP will release the candidate list of most prominent people. All 19 UDF MPs are inefficient and good for nothing, said K Surendran. LDF’s AM Arif doesn’t have the capacity to speak up in the Parliament. The people of Kerala are not going to get any benefit by voting for Rahul Gandhi, who cannot even get 50 seats, or by voting for the CPI(M), which is not even in the picture, said K Surendran.
Malayalees should try to secure participation in the Narendra Modi government, which is going for a hat-trick victory. Vote for those who do good for the people. A good effort is being made to increase BJP’s base in Kerala and South India. PM Modi is trying to ensure development in South Indian states. K Surendran said that the central government is including all sections of the people in its efforts towards development of the nation.
