THRISSUR: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Thekkinkadu Maidanam in Thrissur, where he greeted the gathered women audience attending the ‘Sthree Shakti Modikkoppam’ (Women Power with Modi) event and proceeded to the stage.
Malayalam film actor and BJP leader Suresh Gopi, along with BJP Kerala State President K Surendran, accompanied the Prime Minister.
Modi, who arrived today afternoon in Kochi, participated in a one-and-a-half-kilometre roadshow from Swaraj Round to Naikkanal in Thrissur before arriving at Thekkinkadu Maidanam for the event.
Prominent women from various fields such as arts, sports, and culture, representing the women’s community in Kerala, were in attendance. South Indian film actress Shobhana, Indian Olympic Association’s PT Usha, women entrepreneur Beena Kannan, playback singerVaikom Vijayalakshmi and several others shared the stage with the Prime Minister during the event.
Mariyakutty, who fought for social welfare pensions from the Kerala state government, also shared the stage with PM Modi.
