Mariyakutty joins PM Modi in ‘Sthree Shakthi Sangamam’ held in Thrissur

Thrissur: Mariyakutty who made it difficult for the CPI(M) government in Kerala through a legal battle against them, found favour with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 78-yr-old woman, came to participate in the ‘Sthree Shakthi Sangamam’ held in Thrissur organized by Mahila Morcha on the invitation of Suresh Gopi, where she shared the stage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Prime Minister was welcomed to the stage with great fanfare and celebration. The Prime Minister reached the stage by shaking hands with all the prominent women forces who were lined up on the stage including Mariyakutty. Mariyakutty’s presence at the event is significant as she has been showing her support to the BJP government at the centre.

Mariyakutty has been in a legal battle against the state government for the past one and a half months. Before coming to the program, Mariyakutty had told the media that she does not care about the controversies against her.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Thrissur has shaken the land of Pooram. Lakhs of women had gathered to meet and greet the Prime Minister. Several prominent personalities including actress Shobhana, PT Usha, Member of Parliament, Minnu Mani, Indian cricketer and  singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi shared the stage with the Prime Minister.
