Thrissur: BJP Thrissur District President Adv. KK Aneeshkumar associated the incident where the Youth Congress activists tried to sprinkle cow dung water as a conspiracy between police and political fronts.
Youth Congress activists tried to sprinkle dung water on Thrissur Vadakkumnathan Temple premises where Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Sthree Shakti Sangamam event yesterday. BJP workers tried to block it and this resulted in a scuffle in the area.
Anish Kumar said that people associated with the Popular Front are in the police force. Today they are working for Congress and CPI(M). He alleged that Congress workers were helped by the police to encroach upon the venue where the Prime Minister’s programme took place. The police created an opportunity for the Youth Congress members to instigate conflict. Even though the police received information about this earlier, no action was taken to stop them, Aneeshkumar said.
An official of Thrissur provided facilities for the Youth Congress to sprinkle dung water. If you check his history, you can know what kind of relationships he has. According to Adv. KK Aneeshkumar, it is Congress leader TN Prathapan who is behind this. He did this for fear of Congress losing in the elections, he said.
The attempt to sprinkle cow dung water by Congress is seen as a bid to insult the PM based on his caste by the Congress. Sprinkling of cow dung water is a symbolic representation of purification and was used during the dark days of caste oppression in Kerala. As the program was solely for the women community, the action of the Youth Congress has deemed as an insult to the women folk also.
