Thiruvananthapuram: After inaugurating the ‘Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ in Thiruvananthapuram, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will find a solution to all our problems. He said, today ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ (Modi’s guarantee) is something not only believed in the country, but ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ is also believed in the world. ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ means good governance, people-centric policies, anyone going abroad getting the assurance that Modiji is there for them. S Jaishankar said that today, there is a great deal of respect for India, respect because they look at what has been, the transformation in the country.

Jaishankar said that when he travel to other countries, people there ask him what has changed in Bharat in the 10 years that Modi has governed. He said his answer was – what has changed in Bharat is a vision. The relationship between the government and the people is more friendly and approachable today. In the last 10 years Modi government has worked tremendously to change Bharat, to change the lives of the people. Jaishankar said that the work is only begun. It is only the early results of what they are doing, that are seen now. It is a work that has to go on if a Vikasit Bharat (developed Bharat) has to be built.

He said though he was in the government for 46 years, the last 10 years with Modi, was the most satisfying years for him. It was satisfactory for him because he saw a complete change in how government performs. Today the bureaucracy is more sensible, bankers are more friendly towards customers and every public dealing organization today is looking at the people very differently.

On the occasion of Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Jaishankar shared the thinking of PM Modi about various Yojanas (schemes) which he began to make Bharat a vikasit country. All yojanas developed were from the experiences the people face in their life.

He said, “Many of the Yojanas whose result which we are seeing today, I have actually seen them start from the first meeting when somebody has raised some concern and the Prime Minister has worried about what is happening in the country, but Modi is Modi; he had to find a solution.“

Jaishankar said that we have technology and Modiji which the other countries don’t have. We have Aadhar, Bank accounts all linked to our mobile phones. Through Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana all citizen have been ensured direct benefits, affordable access to financial services such as bank accounts, remittances, credit, insurance and pensions.

He said many problems we face are the ones everyone are facing like health, water, electricity, house, education. These are the problems faced by developed countries as well. Like medicines are available but they are very expensive. People cannot get treatment because they do not have medical insurance and hence cannot get refunds. These are the needs of the people and if you look into the last 10 years the needs of the people have been addressed in some way or the other.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “That’s how a Vikasit Bharat will be created.”
